Belize National Elections were held February 07, 2008. OFFICIAL RESULTS: UDP 25 SEATS, PUP 6 SEATS. Dean Barrow is now the new Prime Minister of Belize.

The Third Annual Just For Fun Golf Tournament was held February 23, 2008 at the Consejo Shores Golf Course. 44 residents of Consejo Shores and the surrounding communities came out to play for fun and prizes.
Easter Beach Party
Consejo Residents Bob and Martha hosted their annual Easter Beach Party. Attended by friends and neighbors from the Consejo Area as well as several families from Corozal Town, this years festivities were the best ever.
Tropical Storm Arthur
At 300PM CST on May 30th, the USA's National Weather Service declared that Invest 90L had organized into Tropical Storm Arthur, the first named storm of the 2008 Atlantic Hurricane Season, one day before the season's official start.
Floods of October
Beginning October 16th, Belize was affected by copious rainfall and unprecedented flooding throughout the country. Tropical Depression 16 sat over the Northwestern Caribbean/Central America for several days and produced prolonged heavy rain, flooding and landslides in Belize, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala.
Trick or Treat in Consejo Belize
Every Halloween, the kids from Consejo Village do a fantastic job of dressing up to haunt Consejo Shores and the Village in search of treats. This is the fist year we had a working camera available to photo document the event.
USA Presidential Election Party
Jeff and Denise Fillmore invited a bunch of their friends over to watch the results of the historic 2008 USA Presidential election. Not all the attendees were Americans, and not all the Americans were happy with the result, but everyone had a good time.
Christmas Caroling
The Second Annual Consejo Christmas Carol Extravaganza was held on Saturday evening Dec. 20th. This years singers gathered at Wayne and Lorraine's around 3PM. The One Hummer Open Sleigh carried the revelers through Consejo Shores, Mayan Seaside, Consejo Village and Smuggler's Den.
New Year's Eve Party at The New Millennium Restaurant
This years Consejo Shores New Year's Eve party was held at the New Millennium Restaurant in Consejo Village. Everyone chipped in a little to cover the cost of renting the building. Partiers brought their own drinks, and many also brought food to share. The theme was "Castaways".
